True Blood season 7’s last episode inserted clues about the final episodes. A Hoyt-Bridget-Jason triangle and the decline of Sarah’s insanity were among the obvious foreshadowing for upcoming storylines. Some of the more mysterious clues involved the birth of a child. Could True Blood 2014 be hinting that Sookie will have a child?
In the early-2000s Angel started the trend of Vampire’s beating the odds to have a child. However, many people associate vampire-human offspring with Twilight. Since then, even popular vampire shows like The Vampire Diaries and The Originals have kept up the trend.
True Blood could be the newest show to try to explain a baby coming from a vampire and a human. Oddly, it might make more sense in the True Blood world. Sookie is half-human and half-fae, which means she has abilities beyond the typical human. She might be able to naturally reproduce with a vampire.
On the other hand, Sookie’s future pregnancy might have nothing to do with Bill or Eric. On the series finale, the show might flash to the future with Sookie married with children. Another alternative is that Bill may become human before the series ends. We’ve seen how Sookie’s infecting Bill has caused strange effects. So what if he’s not dying, but turning human?
Before True Blood 2014 started HBO released a promo picture of Sookie crying a blood tear. This immediately caused fans to speculate that she was becoming a vampire. However, what if that’s a red-herring to get fans to not see that the real twist will be Bill becoming human? It seems like a little too happy of an ending for a series that’s been going really dark towards its end. However, anything is possible on a series that has vampires, shape shifters, and faeries.
